Mr. Jensen was born and raised in Southern California, where he attended Fullerton College, The University of Southern California, and George Washington University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Certificates in Engineering. He was also awarded a Graduate Degree in Executive Management from the Claremont Graduate University, Peter F. Drucker School of Management.
Mr. Jensen began his career by joining his family’s building supplies business where he started as a customer service agent in 1978. In 1979, he progressed into the head of the Ontario branch where he oversaw all sales, marketing, purchasing, and operations while strengthening the failing branch from $1.8 million in annual sales revenue to $24 million in five years. In 1987, Mr. Jensen was named the Vice-President and Chief Operating Office of the company and was responsible for over $60 million in sales from five separate locations. He then organized the acquisition of a southwestern company, adding eight more locations and sales of over $120 million in five states. The company was sold in 1994 to a national conglomerate. Mr. Jensen stayed on as Regional Manager until March of 1996 until he joined Urohealth Corp., as a Division Manager, responsible for over $150 million in annual revenue.
Shortly after, Mr. Jensen joined True Metal Corp as President and Chief Operating Officer, a steel fabrication company in the Inland Empire, and was responsible for the highest sales and profits in the history of the company. In 2000, Mr. Jensen took over as a temporary Chief Executive Officer of EZE Trucking, Inc., a company in default of its financial covenants, and skillfully organized a workout. Shortly after in 2002, Mr. Jensen purchased Pipeline Trucking, Inc. and embarked in the realm of industrial real estate.
Mr. Jensen later leveraged EZE Trucking, Inc. and purchased the stock from both former shareholders in 2009. With his guidance, the company grew from gross revenues of $6.5 million in 2000 to $36 million in 2009 by organic growth and acquisitions of four additional companies with similar specialties. In March of 2009, Mr. Jensen partnered with a private equity group out of Stamford, CT and acquired an additional five companies for the portfolio which now generated over $120 million per year in revenue.
In addition to his business ventures, Mr. Jensen is married to the former Susan Leonis and they reside in Newport Beach, California. Along with their children, grandchildren and friends, they enjoy traveling, golfing, and cheering on Mr. Jensen’s alma mater, USC, at football games.
